Everyone has those couple of people that have always been around. In fact, after quite some time, you start to think of them as just a part of who you are. They've been there through your highest highs and lowest lows. They are the people you laugh with and the shoulders you cry on. Anybody who has been friends with someone for most, if not all of, their life, knows these things to be true.
1. Boundaries cease to exist
It doesn't matter how weird your thoughts are, if you have been friends with someone long enough, you'll say it out loud.
2. You aren't afraid to hurt their feelings
If they are wearing something atrocious or they have the largest zit on their face that you've ever seen, you can tell them without worrying that your relationship will consequently implode.
3. Their family is your family
I have seriously walked into my friend's house and just made a sandwich in front of her parents, and they didn't even say a word about it.
4. They laugh at all of your jokes
They even laugh at your really bad puns...and then proceed to make fun of you.
5. You stop each other from making really bad decisions
Are you thinking about texting your ex? Do you really think it's a good idea to go on a juice cleanse? Think again.
6. But sometimes you mislead each other into bad decisions by accident
Fun fact, most bad decisions occur after the sentence: "Hold my drink, and watch this."
7. Talking to them always makes you feel better
When it comes to texting my best friends, I always feel like the clingiest girlfriend ever.
8. When it comes to their dating life, you can be 100% honest
If you don't like who they're dating and think they can do better, you can absolutely tell them.
9. And you are totally straight forward with anyone they do date
In fact, the first thing you tell your friend's new bf/gf is that you will end them if they hurt her.
10. They will always be the people that you can count on the most
Even though you may not see your OG besties all the time, it doesn't matter. They will always be there for you no matter what.
Shout out to my childhood friends Rachel and Taylor...I love you guys!
