Thanksgiving is the start of my favorite time of the year, and I figure, why not start this week off by saying what I'm most thankful for not only on Thanksgiving, but for this past year.
1. My family
Recommended for you
My parents, my grandparents, my uncles, my aunts. Everyone. These people are my rocks. They give me laughter, they give me faith in myself, support for everything I do, and endless love. They have made me the person I am today, and I couldn't be more grateful to have them in my life.
2. My college
I am incredibly lucky to be getting a higher education. Not everyone gets the opportunity to go off to school, become independent, and earn a degree. I am so thankful that I can afford and that I was accepted to my college so I can shoot for my dreams.
3. My home
At school and in my hometown, I am surrounded by great people and places. I feel so lucky to have a warm and comfortable place to call mine, places I get to share with my family and my friends.
4. My boyfriend
He has been a savior to me over the last three years. He has helped me get through so many moments in my life that were so difficult to handle. I am beyond grateful to get to call him mine.
5. My health
Not everyone is blessed with good health even as a young adult. I feel ecstatic that I have the ability to go for runs, to stay active, to walk, to go out and do things, to drive, all of it.
6. My friends
Both my home best friend and my college friends have been so great to me. I am so happy to have such wonderful people that mean the world to me. They bring me so much laughter and happiness. I don't know what I would possibly do without them.
7. My closet
As a girl who loves fashion, clothes, and especially shoes, I am overwhelmingly pleased to be able to have the clothing I like and that I feel best in. I also hope to give away many clothes in the coming year, so other girls can feel the way I do about what they have to wear.
8. My dog
My cuddle buddy. He may smell bad, but he's still a source of comfort and laughter. He is old, and I am lucky to have him around. He always puts a smile on my face.
9. My car
I may hate my car, but I am so thankful I have something to get around. I would absolutely hate having to depend on others to get where I want to go all of the time, and even if a lot of my car is broken, it does its job pretty well.
10. My bed
Not everyone gets to go to sleep in a warm cozy bed with a million pillows on the bed. I am lucky to have that comfort every night, and I am lucky to have a place I know I will be able to sleep every night. Little certainties like that mean a lot to many other people, and I need to start being even more grateful to have a place to sleep.
There are so many more great things in my life to be thankful for, and I hope that you all can search your hearts for what you're most thankful for this year. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
