10 Things Suffolk Students Recognize On Their First Day Of School

Ahhh... the first day of school. The day you flaunt your new outfit, meet your new bff, and watch every single freshman hike it up Beacon Hill only to find out they have to climb 10 flights of stairs because the Sawyer elevators suck... sound familiar? Here are a few things Suffolk students recognize their first day of school.

1. Everyone is hydrating with iced coffee from 'Dunks' in a hot cup (pretty sure it runs through our veins).

2. Watching everyone waiting oh so patiently for a Sawyer elevator to never arrive. You'll get used to those stairs kid, it's just practice for your Mt. Everest climb

3. Going to 73 during activities period not knowing the line goes out the door.

4. When you realize half of the student body Ubers to class

5. Walking by the law school and wondering if it's like the Wonka factory; "Nobody ever goes in, and nobody ever comes out."

6. Walking through the Common to get to class and having to dodge all the tourists

7. Thinking you'll get a seat in the library but realizing everyone thought the same thing...

8. Bonding with your roommate during welcome week and going to every event possible

9. Realizing 150 is where it's at and you never want to move out

10. Quickly figuring out how to cross the street without getting hit by a Duck Boat, bike, Uber, bus, etc

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
