10 Things That Suck About Winter Break
Carter Blochwitz

Winter break is that time of the year when students don't know whether to full unpack or always have everything collected and ready to go back to school. It is also that time when we sit around and eat way more that we should while totally ignoring our old workout regime we had last semester. Here's 10 more ways winter break is actually horrible for students:

10. You get used to your parents cooking for you.

Forget the ramen you had to eat the last two weeks of the semester, now you have some old fashioned home-cooking you're gonna miss all over again....

9. You Have No Sleep Schedule...

Who else is doing nothing all night but sleeping all day? Just me?

8. Netflix,Netflix, Netflix

7. You Get Used to Having a Car Again

If you are like me, you don't take your car to college. So having the sweet freedom of driving will be hard to give up when we go back...

6. You Miss Your College Friends When Your At Home

But miss your hometown friends when your at college.

5. You Get Used to Your Own Bed

College beds are just not the same...

4. You Still Don't Know If You Should Unpack All Your Stuff You Brought Back.

3. Most Days Are A Mad Dash To See Your Old Friends.

2. Half of the Stuff You Need Is At College

Having your stuff spread in two different rooms kinda leaves you stuck with nothing you really need and everything you do need is at the opposite place.

1. You Get To See Your Pets Again

And you realize you never ever want to leave them again too....

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
