1. Everyone in Indiana is on EST time, except for us.

2. All the Illinoyances in the summer.

3. Our Weather

Never trust the weather channel/app. It won't be right, and when it is THAT is a surprise.

4. St. Mary's Fest...

Only in Michigan City could we have a festival where everyone gets drunk, people get shot, and gamble. It's okay, though since it takes place at a Catholic Church..?

5. "I'm from Chicago..."

because no one knows where the Region is.

6. Construction.

There always is construction.

7. No, I'm not from Gary...but you're getting closer.

We're not all from Gary. No, it isn't that bad.

8. Day trips to Chicago.

Only possible because of the South Shore.

9. Pollution.

We're used to this by now.

10. The best of everything.

We have everything.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
