Being stuck inside all day doesn’t have to be dreadful! No matter how you feel about snow, you can still have fun on a winter day. Here are 10 fun things you can do to make the best of this snow day!

1. Drink hot chocolate

You need something to keep you warm! This can be the best part of winter. Who doesn’t love hot chocolate with extra marshmallows?

2. Netflix

There’s nothing more fun than catching up on all your favorite shows and being able to have an excuse to binge watch them for a whole day. It can be tough to find time for shows on school days, so here’s your chance. Don’t forget to grab some super fuzzy blankets and that hot chocolate you made before you snuggle up on the couch!

3. Watch movies

Frozen is always the perfect movie during a snow day. You can even re-watch all those other favorite movies from your childhood. Who says you’re too old for some classics?

4. Play board games

Board games can be the easiest way to kill time, especially if you’re stuck inside all day and can’t find anything to do.

5. Baking

If you’re like me then you love to bake even if it isn’t a blizzard outside. And what’s a better way to warm up than some warm fresh-baked cookies! Baking some sweet treats is a fun activity for anyone especially if you’re the one who gets to lick the spoon!

6. Read a book

Well, there’s no excuse now for not having time to read those books that are sitting there collecting dust on your bookshelf. Maybe you’re too busy on school days to be able to enjoy a good book. Reading is a great stress reliever too! So, find the comfiest corner in your house and hit the books!

7. Online shopping

Those last minute end of the year clearance deals are among us. You have a whole day to browse every possible website and spend every penny in your bank account. (Okay, maybe don’t do that.) However, no one ever said some new winter clothes won't make you happy!

8. Sleep

We all have those late nights we stay up to study during the week and for some of us our sleep schedule is absolutely crazy. Now you have the perfect opportunity to catch up on all those missed hours. Hop into bed, you’re not going to regret this one!

9. Build a fort

Relive those childhood years and build a blanket fort in your living room. This could be such a fun way to cozy up for all those movies you want to watch!

10. Have a snowball fight

Snowball fights are the best winter activity. Who doesn’t love being able to chuck a snowball at their annoying little brothers head and not get in trouble for it? Because of course, it’s always in fun spirits! You can even make a battle game out of it!

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
