Having a grandmother can be one of the biggest blessings to your life. She has taught me so much and has helped me grown into who I am today with all of her wisdom. Never stop being who you are.
1. She always has the right words to say.
You know you have someone to call at any hour of the day for advice on the new life issues. (Has to be before 7 p.m. though, or else she'll be asleep)
2. She spoils you more than your parents do.
Have you ever heard your parents say their parents spoil the grandchildren better than they ever were? It's so true and of course well deserved.
3. Her stories will have you peeing yourself laughing. (no joke)
They mostly all start with "I remember when," that's how you know it's gonna be a good one.
4. She taught you how to be a strong woman who doesn't take crap from anyone.
Her endless stories of her childhood and boys have taught you that you deserve the absolute best and to never settle.
5. She cooks the best food especially around holidays.
Thanksgiving dinner is always so good, even if you buy boxed yams and put your own marshmallows on it.
6. Her hugs make every single worry you have go away.
Sometimes you just need to feel love to feel, okay.
7. She believes in you when no one else does.
When you are feeling down in the world, just call her up and she'll make you feel like you're superwoman.
8. She taught you should like your wine red. And of course, the more expensive the better.
Red Wine may be a bit stout at first, but if she likes it you'll eventually acquire the taste and enjoy it.
9. She teaches you it's okay to cry.
Sometimes life gets tense, but she has taught me that crying actually shows strength.
10. She is a living example of who you want to be when you grow old.
Her endless strength, support, success and good cooking are just a few examples why I want to be just like her when I get older.
