11 Things I Should Have Never Told Myself

Take a moment and think about all the hardships in your life. How well did you treat yourself? If you're like me, probably not very well. However, you say a lot of things to yourself that you should take back. These are just a few of the things you owe yourself an apology for. Remember that you are important, and tell yourself you are sorry. Here are just a couple of those things to apologize for.

1. "I'm not good enough for him."

You're a fantastic person, there's no need for you to bring yourself down like that. If you're interested in him, go after him. He could be scared you're too good for him.

2. "I want my life to be a fairytale."

Fairytales are meant for books, not reality. But, no one wants everything to go perfectly. Imagine how boring life would be if it did? A little crazy is OK.

3. "I'm not pretty enough to be her friend."

Pretty should never be a social standing. Everyone is gorgeous, and if she won't be your friend, she's not worth having as a friend. Find someone who means the world to you.

4. "I'm always going to be alone."

Sometimes the boy you like isn't going to ask you out, but that's OK. Just remember, sometimes you can make the first move too. Take that risk and step off the social norm.

5. "I have to lose weight for them."

Never ever lose weight for anyone but yourself. Your weight does not affect anyone but you. Do not allow someone who treats you poorly bring you down.

6. "They'll judge me if I tell them."

Your real friends are going to be there for you no matter what. If you're worried about them judging you they might not be very good friends in the end. Everyone needs to find their Non-Judging Breakfast Club.

7. "He won't cheat on me again."

As much as you want to believe he has changed, he probably hasn't. Don't let him back into your life just for him to walk all over you and leave again. You are so strong, move on and find the best person for you!

8. "I just want to give up."

As tough as everything seems right now, I promise you will get through it. Don't give up on yourself quite yet. You're a lot tougher than you know. No matter how hard it is, you will make it through.

9. "My parents probably hate me."

Parents know you have to go through an idiot stage. However, they've been through one too. So no matter how angry they get at you, just realize they could never hate you.

10. "I'm not a princess."

Just because life isn't a fairytale, this doesn't mean you're not a princess. You wear that invisible crown with pride. Life is hard. You earned it.

11. "I'll never forgive myself."

Life throws you a lot of curveballs. You're not always going to make the right decision, and sometimes you're going to hit rock bottom. You're not always going to be happy, or happy with yourself. But you need to always learn to forgive yourself. You are your own best friend, love yourself.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
