10 Things All Short People Know To Be True

As a short girl, I have to acknowledge that there are some things that we short people have to confront.

1. You always ask for the smallest size at the clothing store.

2. You almost always look more child-like than others.

3. You can never reach the food you want on the top shelf.

4. You always ask your friends to make your legs look longer when they are taking pictures of you.

5. You really feel how short you are when you are standing around really tall people.

6. People can easily see the top of your head.

7. Fun fact: You are more likely to live longer!

8. You are described as "adorable" by everybody.

9. You never have to worry about not having enough space in front of you on a flight or in a car!

10. "A person's a person, no matter how small."

You are not short, you are just concentrated awesome!

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
