Living with roommates means never a dull moment.

10 Things Roommates Experience

When you become roommates with someone or even a few people, you all start to become the same person. It can be scary at times how much you all turn alike or the lingo you share with them that no one will ever understand. Best of all, they become your soul sisters. You grow together, cry together, laugh together, and make memories together. If you truly love your roomies, I can guarantee you'll relate to these.

1. "Hey can I borrow that pink shirt you have?"

How come we like each other's clothes better than our own? Maybe this is the reason all of the clothes in my closet seemed to have disappeared. But hey, if she looks cute in them, that's all that matters.

2. You text for each other.

"What should I say back? I don't want to sound too pushy but I also don't want to sound like I don't care." That's when your roommate grabs the phone and types the text for you as you yell, "Don't send it yet before I read it!" Good thing for roomies!

3. "Do you still have my mascara? The pink bottle with the big brush?"

Your make-up starts to become OUR make-up. It's pointless to go looking for your make-up in your purse or car when it has gone missing. All you have to do is open your roommate's make-up drawer and BAM there it is.

4. Your "time of the month" becomes synchronized.

I always thought this was a myth until I lived with five other girls and realized it's like some crazy spell. Suddenly, we are all eating ALL of whatever we can find in the house, yelling from cramps, and giving attitude to anyone within 10 feet of us.

5. "Lets get ready together."

How come we still say this to each other? Like duh, of course we are going to get ready together when our bathrooms are right across from each other and we use all the same stuff anyway. It wouldn't begin as a good night if we didn't blare our favorite music and dance around while getting ready.

6. "Oh my gosh. She did what?! Where is she?! I'll handle it!!"

Well, I've heard this one many times and secretly have said it many more. Roommates know everything about each other. They learn your deepest secrets and your biggest insecurities. When someone messes with one of "the girls," they mess with all of us. Roomies have each other's backs always and will do just about anything to protect one another. Although, sometimes we may go too far. Whoops!

7. "When is he coming over? I have to meet him."

Poor guy...he has no idea that all the roommates will be home just to meet him and spy on how the night goes. We need all the juicy details asap.

8. When all else fails, you cuddle.

It becomes habit to jump right in her bed when you're having a bad night. You will both talk for hours, cry a little, turn on Grey's Anatomy, and cuddle until you fall asleep. This is probably the best thing about living with your best friends.

9. "Should we still go out tonight, or just stay in because I'm tired."

How come every Friday and Saturday night this conversation comes up? We try to be normal college kids who go out, but secretly we are too tired from the week so we'd rather stay in and watch Netflix. Good thing we end up forcing each other to get up and go have a good night. MOST of the time, it ends up being worth it.

10. Your roommates become more than your best friends. They become your sisters.

Through the ups and downs of life, they'll be there. You begin to walk hand-in-hand as you learn to "adult." Because let me tell you, it is NOT as easy as it looks. You are together through each other's struggles, and through each other's victories. Best of all, you learn to love them so much that you could never picture life without them.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.
