Unfortunately, we do go through rough patches in life that bring us down. It can happen for a number of reasons, and sometimes it just happens without a reason. Life is not always happy. But that's OK! Life goes on. So, here is my list of things to remember when you're feeling down.

1. Pizza will always be there for you

Pizza is always just one phone call away. Food is great. Pizza is especially great. It comes with a plethora of toppings. It can be whatever you want. Delivered goodness made especially for you? Yes please.

2. Books are a thing

When life is difficult, there is no better escape than reading a great book. You become immersed in a brand-new world that is exciting and full of adventure. Sometimes an escape can makes us feel better than anything else.

3. To be productive

Sometimes the best way to get out of a rut is to just be productive. Instead of moping around, get out and do whatever needs to get done. People tend to feel happier when they are actually getting things done at a consistent rate.

4. To spend time with friends

Friends sometimes know you better than you know yourself. Spend some time with them, and they will definitely put you in a better mood! Go out to a party with them, watch a movie together, go on a hike, or anything else where you get to spend time with people you love.

5. To get a hug

Hugs can just make you feel safe and secure. Hugs can also be great because they show you that someone else cares and that they are there for you.

6. To dance like no one is watching

Dance. Be silly. Have fun. Dancing can only make you feel happier. It's the best when you are staying with friends and it's really late at night.

7. To cut negative people out of your life

Sometimes there are people in your life that make it more difficult for you to be happy. They do everything in their power to make life more dramatic or cause tension. Stop being around them. If you cut out the sources of negativity in your life, you'll start being happier and living a more positive life.

8. The importance of ranting to someone

Instead of keeping everything bottled up inside, let it out. Express your emotions and talk about what is going on. It's a great way to reduce stress and put everything in perspective.

9. To keep a journal

An alternative to ranting to someone would be to keep a journal or diary. It can be a good way to express yourself in an honest way.

10. To play with pets/animals

Playing with any pet makes life better. Pets are full of so much joy and happiness. I've never been able to be sad or upset around a cat or dog. They are pretty great.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.

15 Things That Happen On Your Birthday

Do you have a small get-together or throw a big bash?

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
