Not to be confused with Portland, Oregon, Portland, Maine is a dog-friendly coastal town known for it's lighthouses and seafood.

1. Victoria Mansion

Named after Queen Victoria and a gorgeous mansion to tour through.

2. Mackworth Island

You can go to the shore and walk the trail that goes around the island. A good place to take your pup.

3. Beal's Ice Cream

Not only are dogs allowed inside, but the ice cream is delicious.

4. Portland Lobster Company

No better place to get seafood than in a sea town.

5. Shopping in Downtown Portland

There is a lot of shops to go to and see.

6. Ride a Bike

There are places to rent bikes and lots of trails to bike through.

7. Miss Portland Diner

I've always wanted to go to a Diner

8. Willard Beach

Make sure you go on a warm day and if you have your pup, that you go during dog friendly times.

9. Fort Williams Park

It's where number 10 is but there are old military bunkers to check out along with picnic areas and fields.

10. Portland Head Lighthouse

When I think lighthouses I think of this exact lighthouse. There is lots to see around the light house as well as some walking so wear good shoes.
