n the second grade, I got my first pair of glasses. I was 6 years old at the time and had no idea how to care for them. As I grew older, I learned the proper way to care and wear them. However, glasses do create problems that are super annoying and you wish that you didn't even have them in the first place.

To the people reading this with glasses, this is for you, because I know the struggle.

1. "Can I try on your glasses?" *puts them on* "Oh my god you really are blind!"

My reaction every time:

2. Being really careful in gym class.

The last thing that you want to happen is having your glasses crushed or broken from getting hit in the face by that one kid who treats gym class like it's the Olympics. Then, you have to go home and feel the wrath from your mom and have her say, "You need to be more careful next time."

3. When you try and clean your glasses.

4. The tan line you get during the summer.

My dad calls them "racing" strips. Congratulations you're the first human thoroughbred horse.

5. Going from a cold environment to a hot environment.

You feel like your in another dimension and something could sneak up on you at any moment but you won't be prepared because your glasses are hot boxed.

6. You still have squint your eyes to read something or having to take them off.

Even though your prescription is up to date you sometimes still can't read small writing and if you have the real struggle you go one step further and take them off

7. When your glasses fall off from the sweat on your nose.

Another thing that annoys you about summer: when it's really hot outside and you're sweating then your glasses fall onto the ground because the nose pads got all sweaty and you just stand there like, "Well s**t."

8. You put your glasses down and forget where you put them, but then your realize you can't see without them.

This happened to me once when I forgot to take my glasses off to get in the shower and I forgot I put them on floor. Twenty minutes later I went to look for them - I ended up stepping on them and they broke.

9. and 10. Wearing glasses on top of glasses and always being a nerd for Halloween.

Circa 2012

Whenever Halloween rolled around, you dusted off your 3-D glasses with the lens popped out and taped the middle part of the glasses so you didn't have to put tape on your real ones. Then, you placed you nerd glasses on top of the ones you use every day and walked around school looking like an idiot because your wearing two pairs of glasses.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
