In life, it can be so early to take things for granted. Especially the things that you see every day. Here's a small reminder of some reasons that we should be thankful to live in San Diego!

1. Perfect weather.

Welcome to sunny San Diego where the weather is always perfect! While we do have some overcast and rainy days, they’re so welcomed as a nice change, although we still adore our 75- degree days full of sunshine!

2. Diversity.

San Diego is such a beautiful city that is full of diversity. The city is filled with people of every gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, color, occupation, political opinion and income level. We are thankful that you can be yourself in San Diego.

3. Beaches.

(I've never related to anyone more...)

Beaches are a luxury that most of the country does not have, but San Diego is lucky enough to be right inland of the beach! With splashing in the water and sunbathing during the day, watching the sunset from the cliffs in the afternoon and holding bonfires at night to roast marshmallows, the beaches of San Diego are a beautiful place to spend your time.

4. Fantastic educational opportunities.

San Diego is home to many fantastic universities and junior colleges. San Diego gives the opportunities of attending San Diego State University, the University of California San Diego, University of San Diego and so much more. While SD may be a town full of excitement and adventure, it’s also a great place to get a higher level of education!

5. Public transportation.

Simply put, it’s so easy to get around San Diego. Through the trolley, taking you all the way from Santee to San Ysidro, you can easily get where you want to go! Using the Orange Line, Green Line or Blue Line, you can stop almost anywhere, including the Gaslamp District, Seaport Village, SDSU or Fashion Valley!

6. San Diego Chargers.

Everyone loves competition! It’s great to have a professional NFL team to cheer for! Go Chargers! Bolt Up!

7. Attractions.

One of the many things to be thankful for in San Diego is that you will never be bored! San Diego is packed full of things to do, including visiting Balboa Park, Sea World or the San Diego Zoo. Along with visiting these attractions, one can also stroll through the city looking at street art and stopping for a latte in a small café.

8. Sunsets.

I think we can all agree that the sky is beautiful no matter where you are, but San Diego sunsets just have something extraordinarily special about them. Every day, watching the sky red, orange, pink and purple is a blessing that not many get to experience.

9. Great food.

San Diego has a huge variety of amazing food! Whether you’re craving sushi, carne asada fries or pizza, you can find it all close by! This just adds to San Diego’s cultural diversity!

10. San Diego rush hour traffic.

OK, let’s be honest: we all hate traffic. Especially the horrible San Diego rush hour traffic that is inevitable if you’re taking the freeway anywhere in the early evening. However, it may be a good thing, as it teaches us the virtue of patience. So let’s all learn to look on the brighter side of every situation!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
