Nothing is worse than having an early class or a morning job. I’ll be sleeping, comfy as can be, not a care in the world and my iPhone alarm will start buzzing under my pillow. Suddenly I’m slipping out of my blissful dream world and dragged into the real world of work, responsibilities and school. On the rare occasion, usually Sundays, when I get to wake up gradually and possibly stay in bed for a few minutes I feel more well rested then I do any other day of the week. Here are a few things you’ll most likely relate to if you have early mornings as much as I do.

1. Spending a solid ten minutes picking out the most soothing alarm song

2. The “five more minutes” game

3. Setting at least four or five alarms at 10-minute intervals

4. Going to sleep happy knowing you don’t have to set an alarm for the morning

5. COFFEE IS LIFE

6. Mentally killing anyone who decides to wake you up before you have to be up

7. Getting really good at signing up for afternoon or late morning classes

8. Mastering the art of getting ready in five minutes flat

9. Finding friends who also sleep in and getting brunch with them on the weekends

10. Feeling like a bad ass on the days you get up early by choice

I’m not really a “sleep in until 2 p.m.” kind of person, but I do love sleeping in until ten and lying in bed for an hour. The earliest class I’ve ever taken started at 9 a.m. and that was freshman year. I once had two semesters in a row where I didn’t have any morning classes. Sleep is super important and getting to sleep in makes all the difference.

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
