1. The khaki pants

Guys loved them, girls hated them. In the end, we are all forever thankful for uniforms.

2. Charter “Getty” (the best)

If this term isn't a representation of #PinesLife I do not know what is. We were friends with all of the neighboring high schools so they were ultimately the most fun. West Broward, Flanigan, Archbishop and Everglades kids were and still are a part of our friend groups.

3. Prom-posals were taken to a whole new level

Yes, Julio Acosta actually came into school on a horse to ask someone to prom. The following year, Bryan Wallace created a successful flash mob during lunch to ask Allie Jones. Always have to go above and beyond for prom.

4. Legendary food fight

Food, drinks and chairs were flying through the cafeteria. Once you got out to the breezeway and thought you were in the safe zone, it just got worse. Did I mention smoke bombs were going off? Great year to be a part of A lunch. Helicopters were flying over the school. Safe to say it was legendary. Note: No one, that I know of, was hurt.

5. Mr. Bayor

Kids who did not even go to Charter loved him. He is the man. One of the greatest principals, administrators and friend a student could have asked for during their high school years. He was ultimately the glue to the charter family and a part of the greatest graduation selfie ever taken.

6. High school study days

One of the only schools that got let out at 10:30 a.m. on the first Thursday of every month to "study" aka meet at the Chipotle on Pines Blvd at 11 a.m. then go to Beach Place for the remainder of the day.

7. Thursday basketball games

Trying to get into basketball games was a mission and a half. Kids from all over Pembroke Pines came to watch our incredibly talented players. The games reached capacity almost every time. Chances are you probably sat on the stairs of the bleachers because you could not even get a seat.

8. Traveling the world together

Every year faculty takes the students to different places around the world. New friendships were formed and relationships were built.

9. The last day of school

On the last day of school, we experienced one of the most incredible, bittersweet and rewarding moments. Throwing our uniform shirts on the infamous tree, throwing water balloons, screaming and dancing with everyone we love. Meanwhile, the underclassmen made a giant circle watching what would be them in years to come.

10. Family Unit

Charter will always be a family. In high school, petty drama is inevitable. However, at the end of the day we have always been there for each other in times of tragedy and celebration. The Charter School and family made us the great people we are today. We are forever thankful! “Once a Jaguar, always a Jaguar.”

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
