10 Things Overthinkers Know To Be True
Mihai Surdu

Let's face it: there are people in the world who overthink about things a lot. It’s a part of their lives. Every possible scenario evades their thoughts and they feel the need to be prepared for as many situations as possible. However, with that being said, as different as every overthinker is to another overthinker, there are some things that they have in coming and some facts that they all understand.

1. Overthinking sucks.

Yes, we realize that overthinking is not an activity that we enjoy.

2. We don’t want to be over thinking about things.

It just kind of happens for us. We can’t really help it.

3. But it keeps us on our toes, in a way.

Overthinking helps us to realize all of the different scenarios that could occur.

4. And we end up being prepared for many tragedies that could happen.

When you’re ready for even the worst-case scenario, there’s nothing that can get past us.

5. Sometimes (or oftentimes, if we’re honest), we overthink so much that we lose sleep over it.

It’s hard to sleep when you’re thinking so much about what to do next.

6. Then the next day, we’re so tired that it can be hard to fight against overthinking sometimes.

It’s a mental battle to keep from overthinking all of the time; if we’re tired, our mental shields are going to be lowered.

7. Telling us to “stop thinking about it” does the opposite.

Sure, let’s just bring up the fact that we’re still thinking about the one thing. Just saying, “stop thinking about it!” just brings the focus back to it.

8. And telling us to “relax” makes us even more stressed out about whatever we’re thinking about.

It’s not like we want to be thinking about it. If you want us to relax, find something to distract us instead, rather than just making the suggestion itself.

9. Please don’t blame us for stepping back from things at times.

Maybe we’ve thought so much about something that it turns out to be better if we just don’t join in at all.

10. Overthinking is a part of us.

As much as we hate overthinking, it’s made us who we are today.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
