As one of the few California students here at Union, I can definitely say that the most obvious difference between the two coasts is the climate. The winter weather isn’t too bad right now, but frankly, I am actually terrified for what’s to come. My mom is so worried she made me buy two huge parkas, wool socks, hardcore snow boots, an electric heating blanket, and the list goes on and on. Anyways, here are ten things you will definitely hear me say if you haven’t heard them already.
1. “I’m going to die of hypothermia!”
2. “I can’t feel my face/ears/fingers!”
3. “I love the snow!”
4. “I hate the snow!”
5. “What’s a Canadian goose?”
6. “Can we make snow angels?”
7. “Take a picture of me with the snow!”
8. “How can it snow so high that it’s up to half of my height?”
9. “Why is there a shovel in his/her trunk? Is he/she a murderer?”
10. “Was there an exorcism or something? Why is there salt on the ground?”
I know I’m super dramatic, but I’m always going to be a California girl! Catch me walking around campus looking like a giant furball!
