Do you think you're a true 90's kid? If you answered yes, then this one's for you. Only real 90's kids had these 10 things when they were growing up. From toys to fashion statements to school supplies and more! Kids these days would never understand. Here's your chance to take a trip down memory lane by reminiscing on some of our favorite childhood things.
1. Skip-It
These days kids fall back on television and Xbox for "fun." Little do they know, this is what fun really looks like. If you didn't own one of these bad boys, you know one of your friends or neighbors did. We spent hours hopping around with these things wrapped around our ankles. We even had competitions to see who could go the longest!
2. Toss and Catch
Remember this little velcro toss and catch set? You definitely had one of these growing up. We all ran around trying to catch the ball outside with our friends when we were little (although, I'm pretty sure the velcro didn't stick all that well from what I can remember). But hey, we tried. And we had fun doing it too!
3. Gak
Okay, so if you don't remember this you might not be a real 90's kid. We all watched Nickelodeon as kids and shared a single dream of one day being slimed. Well, this fun little toy was the closest many of us have ever gotten. Although it was fun to squish around in our hands, the best part was dumping on our heads and pretending we got slimed - even though our parents probably yelled at us for making a mess and getting it in our hair.
4. Water Ring Toss
You'll only know the frustration of this toy if you grew up in the 90's. This single button was a nightmare when trying to get the tiny rings onto the little targets. And you're lying if you claim that you never turned it up side down and cheated your way to victory - making all your friends think you were actually good at it.
5. Slap Bracelets
We didn't fantasize over Alex & Ani and Pandora bracelets growing up. This was the real jewelry back then. But we all know that you would never snap it on and off your wrist during class in elementary school, in fear that the teacher would take it away.
6. Mood Rings
Remember when we actually thought these rings would tell us our mood? If it was black you were stressed and blue meant you were relaxed and pink was happy. But why did we never notice that they stayed the same color for the most part? Well who really cares...we had fun and that's all that mattered.
7. Tamagotchi
Before our fingers were accustomed to pushing the buttons on our cell phones and laptops, these were the only hand-held devices we knew. You didn't have ONE of these growing up, you had about five. These were our babies. We fed them, played with them and raised them as our own. Until we left it home one day when we went to school or to our friends house and it died. And boy, let me tell you it was the end of the world. You're lying if you say you didn't cry for at least thirty minutes.
8. Hit Clips
This was the iPod of our generation. We popped these mini cd's into our little hit clip and jammed out wherever we went. We listened to all types of music from Britney Spears to the Backstreet Boys to Jesse McCartney.
9. Bop-It
Bop-it. Spin-it. Twist-it. Pull-it. Flick-it. We lived by these five "it's" throughout our childhood. This game occupied us non-stop for hours on end. And you didn't know stress until you played this game. It was so nerve-wracking holding on to the black handles while your hands shook and your stomach sank the first time you hit the middle button. Then the loud buzzer went off it you took too long or hit the wrong one. But you couldn't resist, nothing stopped us from with this playing all day long.
10. Milky Pens
Last, but surely not the least. You know you're a 90's kid if you owned these. We would doodle all over our hands with these gel-like pens, especially when they were the sparkly ones and they nearly ran out of ink in just one day.
