10 Things You Need To Do This Summer

Summer is finally here and there are so many things to do. Even though you might be busy and moving around all of the time, be sure to make time for yourself and enjoy summer. Here are 10 things I believe you should do to help you make the most out of summer.

1. Sleep In

This is easy, do this simply because you can, and you deserve to.

2. Enjoy the Outdoors

Summer is all about great weather and catching some sun. So, take some time to sit outside and soak up the beauty of the outdoors.

3. Watch a Sunset/Sunrise

Summer is known for making the days seem longer. Summer seems to make the city lit up by a bright sunset and nothing seems more beautiful. I highly recommend taking the time to go and enjoy the bright colors of the sky.

4. Go Out

Take some time to go out and have fun. Summer implies fewer responsibilities, right? Just act as though you are treating yourself to all of the hard work you did throughout the past year.

5. Spend Time With Family

You should always make time for family, and now that summer is here you shouldn't have any excuse as to why you can't make time for them. Family is important and you can find so many different activities to take part in while the warm weather and longer days are here.

6. Go all out on the Fourth of July

This one just seems fun and you get to see some amazing temporary artwork in the sky. So many different options of fireworks exist and they all are a little different. (I can't be the only one who enjoys the smell of fireworks)

7. Cook Out

Go grill a slab of ribs, some steaks, or anything your heart desires. Summer is the perfect time to get the grill heated up and take on the task of being your backyard Gordon Ramsey. (I don't recommend sending Gordon Ramsey a picture of your food because he will roast you, just watch the popular video on his tweet responses)

8. Go cruising

Hop in your car and just drive around. Listen to music and enjoy your existence and the world you live in.

9. Go to a Music Festival (or Concert)

Music makes everything better. Going to a music festival or concert will brighten your mood. This will make summer memorable and so much fun. Besides, you will be surrounded by people who also love music and are there for the same reason that you are. Dance your heart out and live in the moment.

10. Travel

Is it just me who occasionally wants to grab my keys and just drive and see where the road takes me? Summer is the perfect opportunity to take time and plan (or not plan) a trip somewhere. Take a vacation and make time for you and the important people in your life. Go see new places and soak in the different views around the world.

11. Attack Your Bucket List

Now is the perfect time to knock some things off of your bucket list. So, be adventurous and make the most out of summer while making the most out of your life. Face your fears, do things you have never done before and make sure to enjoy everything that comes your way.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
