Winter break is awesome. You get to hang out with your family, recharge after finals week ruined you, and get an entire month without any classes (unless you’re taking intersession classes and if so I’m sorry). Although this is all great, leaving is still bittersweet. Here are the 10 things I think I’ll miss most this break.

1. Your friends

This one isn’t a surprise. Your college friends become family and leaving them for an entire month is brutal.

2. YOUR FRIENDS

3. YOUR FRIENDS - WHY THE HELL ARE THEY FROM ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY

4.OKAY I’LL MOVE ON BUT FRIENDS ARE REALLY THE MAIN THING I’LL MISS AND ARE SO IMPORTANT

5. You’re usual coffee spot

What is your favorite table going to do without you? Who is going to sit there? And after you leave it for a month is that new person going to try and claim that spot as their own?? So many questions, but seriously, they have another thing coming if someone thinks they can claim my spot just because I’m gone for a month.

6. The atmosphere

Fayetteville has such a generally positive and accepting atmosphere, people are friendly and not afraid to say “please” and “thank you”. Even if you’re staying in the south over break, there’s no way you aren’t going to miss the Fayetteville feeling.

7. The Views

Fayetteville is beautiful. There are rolling hills in every direction and mountains and tons of trees. The landscape looks like a postcard even if you’re just looking out of Harmon parking garage.

8. The food

Okay yes, if you’re from Dallas or any large town I know there is awesome food, so don't start with me. That being said I know for a fact there isn’t a Hammontrees and there isn’t a Hugo’s and these among other local favorites are what I'm talking about. Oh and we can't forget La Huerta, what are we going to do on Tuesday nights if we can't drink $2 margs.

9. Class

So I know we just finished finals weeks and it was utter hell and that makes everyone angry about life, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss class just a little bit.

10. Your usual habits are out the window

If you're used to a weekly coffee date with your old roommate or a Zumba class at the Union that's a no go for a month. I don't know why but getting out of routine is always a little frustrating because, after a semester of doing things one way, you go back home and have to do them another way.

All this being said winter break is wonderful and such a great time to catch up with old friends and family you never see! Yay break yay Fay, we'll see ya in a month.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
