10 Things I Love About Writing for the Odyssey

People always ask, why do you write for the Odyssey when you are already a busy college student? Wel, here is a list of 10 reasons why I do it!

1. The community of writers

The team groupme is a fun way to talk to people you may not interact with otherwise.

2. You get to voice your opinion

3. Excitement when your article is shared

4. It is innovative!

not just your regular blog..its a cool blog

5. Millenial News

News written by millennials for millennials. There's no other source out there that does this!

6. Local News

Everything that is relevant at your school will probably be in the next batch of Odyssey articles because the writers are students in the same community.

7. ins and outs of your local community

Want to know where to eat near your school? There's an article for that.

8. You learn new things

Articles upon articles about everything under the sun! Like aliens or the behind the scenes of filming a sporting event and even covers of your favorite songs.

9. Time Management Skills

Don't be the first guy bogged down, the Odyssey helps get your time management skills by producing an article or video every week so you can be the "ideal office" guy.

10. YOU ARE A VOICE

BE THE VOICE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
