10 Things You Know To Be True If You're Easily Amused

This article probably amuses you, too.

I am easily amused. Just tonight, I was at an event and we had a stack of 4 Operation games that we were cleaning up. A friend and I simultaneously pushed and held down all 4 red buzzer noses, making the boxes audibly vibrate. It was great. Easily the best moment of the night. Woo! Guess you just had to be there.

So, if you're like me, then you definitely agree with me on all these things.

1. You're Constantly Laughing (and probably moving while doing so)

There are several different laughs. We've got the chuckle, the awkward laugh, the courtesy laugh, and the, best, real laugh. That real laugh is intense. You're rocking back and forth and moving your hands and, most likely, being obnoxiously loud. Then, you probably just start laughing at how hard you're laughing. It's a wonderful cycle.

2. Everything is Hilarious

Especially if no one else thinks it is. If everyone else thinks something deserves the chuckle, you think it deserves the real deal. And you treat it as such, because obnoxious, remember?

3. Others Don't Get It

"Oh, my gosh, Becky. Pls, stop. You're being ridiculous. You better be glad you got that good hair." That's pretty much what you hear on the daily. People who aren't like us can't understand us. It's like we're an elite club or something.

4. People Look at You Like You're Crazy

You know that look you get when you start laughing. Everyone's panicking because they don't know how to respond in such a situation. They don't actually know what's happening when you bust out, so they get all deer-in-the-headlights-like and just shift their eyes around to each other, like "Do you get this? What's going on?"

5. People Know What You're Thinking

Everybody can read the emotions plastered across your face from a mile away. If they know you really well, they can see the laugh coming on. They probably still don't get why anything is funny though. It's too bad they don't have a sense of humor.

6. You're Never Bored

Boredom offers some of the best comedy. That's when you start to really get delusional and literally anything becomes funny. And then because you're "bored," you think you're tired and you start absent-mindedly rubbing your face while laughing and you look certifiably insane.

7. You're Prone to an Infantile Joy

Kids laugh at pretty much anything. So, people like us who also laugh at pretty much anything are basically children. Your amusement makes you feel the joy of being a kid again. Congratulations, kiddo!

8. Your Cheeks are Consistently Sore

Also, ribs. Those are a fun one too. If you aren't laughing, then you're definitely smiling. And too much of a good thing starts to bring the pain. But it's not a pain we ain't ready for. I ain't no snowflake.

9. Being Around Other Easily Amused People Rocks

People who think like you and get your sense of humor are so few and far between that if you find one, grab them in a vise grip and never ever let go. Literally ever. I'm really not kidding. They're super cool and fun and it's better to laugh with someone than by yourself.

10. You're Rarely Impressed

Just because things amuse you doesn't mean that you think that serious things are nearly as cool. It's much more difficult for me to think you've done an outstanding job on something than it is to get me to laugh at you. If you can combine the two, you the real MVP.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
