10 Things in College that are More Important Than a Boy

10 Things in College that are More Important Than a Boy

1. Studying

You pay thousands of dollars a year to become the boss woman that you are meant to be. So instead of pining after that cute boy on the football team, remind yourself that if you work hard he could be your secretary in a few years.

2. Food

I'm sorry but it is a known fact of life that food makes everyone feel better. After you fail that Chem test no boy will make you feel as good as a chocolate cupcake. Separate from all boy-related activities food is amazing and you're an idiot if you don't take advantage of the food scene in your college town.

3. Uber

In an era where people will Uber across campus to get to class, this form of transportation is pretty comparable to water and air for our generation.

4. Coffee

College students may as well have an IV in their arm attached to a small baggie of espresso. Coffee is the one thing that makes college students able to drag their lazy butts out of bed after a long night of doing absolutely nothing. If you try to tell me that you value some boy more than a daily dose of caffeine then you are a liar.

5. Sleep

Nothing makes me feel quite like a perfectly-timed nap. The feeling of laying down knowing that I don't have class for another four hours is only comparable to a certain form of nirvana.

6. Tacos

You broke up with your boyfriend? Tacos. You lost a big game? Tacos. You failed a class? Tacos. #TacoTuesday4ever

7. Exercise

Everyone knows that exercise gets your endorphins going. Nothing will make you feel better than pushing to achieve something for you and no one else. Exercise is all about creating goals for yourself and knowing that the only person you have to prove anything to is you makes it all the more worth it.

8. Dancing

I do not care if you are in the worst mood of your life. Drag yourself out of bed, turn on some vintage 2000's music and dance until you feel better. Better yet, go out with your girls and dance.

9. Self-Exploration

The best part about college is that you are there to find yourself. You are not here to be tied down to someone. Be your crazy self and don't ever worry if someone is judging you. College is about expressing yourself so go out there and do you.

10. Friends

I would not make it through a week of college without my amazing group of friends. The support and laughs that they provide are unparalleled with anything. Love y'all.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour
StableDiffusion

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
