I love makeup. I wear makeup because I can put my creativity onto a visible canvas where everyone can see, that canvas being known as my face. It irks me today to see how much people hate on women and even men who wear makeup, whether it be too much or even too little. There is so much negative energy sent towards make-up lovers mean while it's just one of the ways a girls can express herself. Here are just a few things we as girls just don't want you to say to us about our makeup.

1. "You don't need to wear makeup."

Thank you for that, but I'm still going to wear makeup. Thanks for trying though.

2. "You have too much makeup on."

Like what exactly is "too much makeup?"

3. "Do you wear makeup because you feel insecure?"

Actually no I don't. I appreciate the way I look with and without makeup.

4. "Girls wear makeup to impress boys."

OMG NO! You think I have all Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palettes just to impress a boy who doesn't know a single shade from either one?

5. "I prefer to date girls who don't wear makeup."

Okay, and I prefer to date a guy who isn't so judgmental.

6. "You look different without makeup."

Yeah I know, but that's kinda of the point of makeup. Right?

7. "You spend too much money on makeup."

I know and it's the worst thing ever. But honestly, the more expensive then the better the quality. Well in most cases.

8. "Are those your real eyelashes?"

I really wish they were, but sadly they're not.

9. "I never wear makeup."

If i'm not hating on you for not wearing makeup then there's no need to hate on me for wearing makeup.

10. "You're basically lying to the world by wearing makeup."

If you can't tell that my eyes aren't naturally sparkly and that my lips shouldn't be that bright red naturally, then we have a problem.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
