Guys, please know girls admire different. We admire men, not boys. Don’t let society decide who you will grow to be and the character of yourself. Be the man who you want your future son to grow up to be.

Look to the Lord, daily and seek Him first. For He is far greater than anything on this earth. So don’t let temptation get in your way of being a godly man, who loves God. For one day, He will provide you with a wonderful girl who loves the Lord just as much. And it will be worth that wait.

1. Cheaters never win. Ever.

This should be common knowledge. Just don’t do it. Girls will always find out in the end…it’s not worth it. Believe me!

2. Nice guys actually don’t finish last.

Contrary to what society tells us, Nice guys don’t finish last. Yeah a girl may be attracted to the “bad boy” for a bit, but in the end a girl is after that good, solid guy who is genuine and kind. That bad boy she went for way back when is not the kind of guy she wants to end up settling down with.

3. Please don’t ever put me first.

Don’t try to make me your everything. I will let you down and will fail time after time. Instead please put God before me ALWAYS. For he won’t fail you. And know I don’t want to ever make you my everything, either. Please pursue Him first and foremost and challenge me to always do the same.

4. Every girl is different. So don’t treat us like we are all the same.

I am not your ex and never will be. Don’t treat me like her. ‘nough said.

5. Be the guy you would want your sister to date.

Respect me the way you would want a guy to respect your sister. I am not an object so please don’t treat me like it. You wouldn’t want your sister to be treat that way, would you?

6. If we have siblings, having their approval is a MUST!!!

If they don’t approve, it’s a no go! Our sibling’s approval will always be something we value.

7. We care less about presents and more about quality time.

It is quite simple. Instead of wasting your money on presents and random gifts for us. Just plan a fun date and spend quality time with me…away from distractions. Time is the best present you can give a girl sometimes. Don’t forget this!

8. We aren't for this whole "playing games" thing.

Please don’t waste your time on me if you are just out to play games. I am not about that….most girls aren’t.

9. It's not always easy to be the good girl.

When hooking up is the norm and purity isn’t seen to be so “pure” anymore, it can be hard to not conform to the thoughts that society is throwing at us. But the girl who is waiting is also herself, worth the wait. Know that she won’t settle and is trying her best daily to fight temptation, despite how hard it can be.

10. Pursue God and challenge me to always do the same.

Please don’t try to get between my relationship with God. I promise I will try to never do the same. Instead grow with me and our faiths, as we push ourselves more towards the Lord TOGETHER.

Girls, don’t settle for the boys. Wait for the man. For God created you beautiful in His sight, and you deserve a man who sees that. Don’t let the boys determine your worth while you wait for the man, either. You are worth pursing, but by a godly man who is seeking God first.

For one day, when that time comes, God will let that man in your life. And when He does, it will be worth all the time you waited. I am quite certain of that. So in the meantime, keep chasing after God and seeking Him, daily.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
