This is a serious issue, but anything can be lightened with gifs :)
1. This Is Not Something We Chose
We don't wake up everyday deciding that today is the day for a panic attack. We don't choose to feel nervous at social gatherings.
2. Anxiety Disorders Are Very Common
Doctors are unsure where these disorders come from and why they affect people the way they do. Some believe it can be genetic, others believe it is brought on by past stressors.
3. It's Not All In Our Head
Sometimes it feels like we're drowning in overwhelming thoughts and we can't seem to make our bodies bring us to surface.
4. Don't Talk Down To Us
No one deserves to be talked down to. Period. Sometimes people think that because someone has an anxiety disorder they're less of a person, but that's not the case.
5. Every Day Can Be A Battle
But we are fighters. We don't always win, and some day are worse than other. "She doesn't look like anything is wrong with her" is probably they last thing someone with anxiety wants to hear.
6. Making Plans Can Be Difficult
Sometimes we make plans and then the day of we are just not in the right mind side to partake in them.We don't want to blow people off because we're having an off day, but we can't always control how we feel.
7. Anxiety Can Be Triggered Any Time, Any Where
Some triggers are more common than others. Usually any type of emotional distress can bring it on, large crowds, embarrassing situations, etc.
8. We're Still Human Beings
We prefer people not to ask how we'd feel if we were normal.
9. We Are Not Weak
Far from actually.
