1. Take a dip!

July is hot so take a break for the 4th and go swimming! Lake, river, ocean, or even a kitty pool. No pool? How about a sprinkler or hose? Then you can 'share' the water with others. *wink* * wink*

2. Have a water war!

Bring out the big boys with water balloons, guns, or your own secret weapon. Play with your friends or siblings. You could even get your parents in on it too!

3. Bad weather? No problem!

Have indoor games from cards to scavenger hunts. Build a pillow fort. Have a slumber party or pillow fight.

4. Show your patriotism!

Be THE American. Become the flag. Body paint, streamers, sparklers, hats, even socks. Anything and everything will be Red, White, and Blue.

5. Cook out!

Go with the regular burgers and hot dogs or create your own! Always remember to have a sweet treat to finish with!

6. Go on vacation!

Take a trip you never been before. Or where you love to visit. Its a great time to check out events like airshows or festivals that will be going on.

7. Create your own drive-in theater.

It doesn't have to involve parking cars in the backyard. Grab a projector, a bed sheet, laptop, movie, and some popcorn and your set to go! You can even have people bring snacks in drinks to share.

8. Plan a get together with friends.

We all get busy and sometimes we get to busy to see our friends as much as we did. Plan a get together. A sleepover, dinner, movie, or even a hangout.

9. Be with your family.

See your family! Most families do have get together's, but if not, at least stop by and say "hi."

10. Watch fireworks!

Of course, the main attraction is fireworks! You can buy your own or go out and see someone else's.

You should definitely consider these activities for next year's celebration!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
