It's getting to that colorful time of year again, you know, the time where everything is Pumpkin Spice flavored. Personally, it's my favorite time of the year, and I know a lot of other people feel the same way. Don't get me wrong, I do love summer and going to the beach but once school starts, my need for the heat quickly ends. Walking to class in 80 degree weather is just no fun. I am not a fan of sweating profusely and then having to sit in class all day. Once sweater weather hits, I am as happy as can be. There are just so many great aspects to fall, and I'm here to remind you what they are!

1. Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING.

Currently, I have a pumpkin spice air freshener in my car. I recently made a pumpkin bread, and I can't even tell you how many pumpkin iced coffees I've had since they came back. I'm an iced coffee addict as is, but my love becomes so much stronger when I hear those beautiful words: "Pumpkin Spice is back!"

2. All the beautiful colors in nature.

There isn't a prettier time of year than the fall. Growing up in New England, I have been fortunate enough to experience all four seasons every year, but nothing compares to the beauty that comes with fall. Taking a nice drive through all the changing trees can really bring a smile to your face.

3. Going apple picking.

Apple picking is a classic fall activity. Apple picking was also an annual class field trip when I was little, and I would always look forward to going. There's nothing better than going apple picking and being able to eat a nice crisp apple in the fall. It's also very fun to be able to bake your own fall treats with apples you picked yourself.

4. Going to your school's football games.

If I'm being completely honest, I don't really understand football, but I know when I was in high school I always looked forward to going to the games. Now that I'm in college, it's just as fun to walk over to the school stadium with my friends and check out a game. Watching football is another classic fall activity (even if you don't understand football).

5. The fall fashion.

I love fall clothing. Being able to wear big scarves, vests, flannels and sweaters is the best. In the fall, you make the comfiest outfits look really cute. Now, what's better than that?

6. Going pumpkin picking/carving pumpkins.

Carving pumpkins never gets old. No matter what age you are, it's still so much fun to go pick a pumpkin and carve your own design into it. Another great part of carving pumpkins is you can throw the pumpkin seeds onto a cookie sheet and bake them for a healthy, tasty treat!

7. Watching scary movies.

Even if you're not a fan of scary movies, odds are you'll end up watching at least one during the fall. I personally have my eyes closed during most scary movies, however, it can be fun to get together with friends and get a little freaked out.

8. Picking out a Halloween Costume.

Dressing up for Halloween is always so much fun. It's just as fun to get dressed up in college as it is when you're five years old. Your Halloween activities may change through the years, but no matter what, you'll still get dressed up.

9. Halloween.

Halloween is one of the best days of the year! When you're a little kid you get to wear your costume to school and then go out and get a ton of candy for free. How could life get any better? When you get older you still get all dressed up and instead of eating candy all night, you'll most likely go out to a party with your friends. No matter what age you are Halloween is always a lot of fun.

10. Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is the end of the beautiful fall season. However, as sad as fall ending can be, there's no better way to end it than with the best meal of the year. Thanksgiving meal is my favorite meal ever. It's so nice to get together with family and eat a huge home cooked meal. It's the last thing before the dreaded winter arrives.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

(For Girls Who Are Interested In Greek Life)

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
