Ah, mornings. While most college students cringe at the thought of alarms, morning classes, and rolling out of bed, there's a small population of us crazy morning people who joyfully rise with the sun. If you're a morning person at college, here are 12 things you definitely know to be true.

1. Your friends think you're insane.

They probably ask you "how?" and "but why?" when you tell them what time you wake up.

2. You know breakfast food is the best food.

And double breakfast is totally a thing when you wake up early.

3. You'll never miss a morning gym sesh.

You've realized that the gym is practically empty at 6:00 AM, making it the perfect time for workouts.

4. And you'll never miss a morning class either.

Let's be real. You were up at least an hour before that 8 AM.

5. You’ve seen your fair share of sunrises.

And look forward to them every morning.

6. You always feel productive AF.

That feeling when your friends are just waking up and you've already crushed a workout, been to class, and cranked out homework.

7. Your appreciation for coffee is all too real.

It may or may not be an addiction at this point.

8. You’ve mastered the art of not waking up roommates at 6:00 AM.

And you can successfully find everything you need and get ready in the dark.

9. You get to enjoy the peace and quiet of campus in the morning.

Finally, you don't hear people yelling or music bumping like you do 99 percent of the time.

10. You always get a great night's sleep.

You have no problem passing out after a long busy day!

11. You're probably the grandma of your friend group.

And your friends laugh at you when you're in bed before 10:00 PM.

12. You wonder why more people aren't morning people.

Because you love being a morning person, and couldn't picture it any other way.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
