10 Things Every Dunkin' Donuts Addict Knows To Be True

If you’re like me, then you’re a coffee addict. I don’t even want to think about how much money I’ve spent at Dunkin' Donuts, but let’s just say that it’s probably equal to a year of my college tuition at this point. I love donuts and I love coffee, so basically what I’m trying to say is Dunkin’ Donuts is the way to my heart.

1. You can't start your day without a cup of Dunkin' coffee.

Dunkin’ Donuts coffee is an absolutely essential for you to get your day started right. If you run out of Dunkin’ K Cups for your Keurig, you make sure to get to the nearest Dunkin’ to you and order your favorite drink even if you have to wake up earlier to do so.

2. You will go extremely out of your way to get your daily fix of Dunkin'.

If you don’t have a Dunkin’ Donuts on your way to work or class you will go completely out of your way to stop at Dunkin’. Who cares if it adds 15 minutes more to your morning commute, at least you have your coffee, right?

3. The employees at DD know you by name and know your order.

If you go to the same Dunkin’ enough, the employees start to recognize you and after a few months you don’t even have to say anything, they just say “Hey Danielle! The usual?”

4. You make multiple Dunkin' runs a day.

Any true coffee addict knows that you can’t simply have just one cup of coffee a day. As soon as 2 p.m. comes around I find myself getting tired and in need of my second coffee of the day. Sometimes I’m really desperate and I even go for a third cup later in the evening. That's when it gets a little embarrassing and I go to a different Dunkin' nearby so the people at my regular Dunkin' don't judge me too hard. Oh well, there could be worse things to be addicted to. It’s fine

.

5.Your friends/family/coworkers never have a problem trying to figure out what to get you for a present.

If someone can’t think of what to get your for your birthday or Christmas, a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card is never a bad idea.

6. You have the DD Perks app and you use it daily.

You’re most likely so addicted to Dunkin’ that you have the app right on your phone. Now you don’t even need to carry cash or a card with you, they just scan your app and you’re good to go. Boom. It’s that simple.

7. Free Coffee makes your entire day.

You know that feeling that you get on Christmas morning? That’s equivalent to the feeling that every coffee addict gets when they get the notification that they have a free iced or hot coffee waiting for them at Dunkin’.

8. People frequently tell you that your DD addiction is becoming a problem.

You know you’re addicted to coffee but you don’t care. Now give me my large iced caramel coffee light and sweet and let me live my life. Thank you very much.

9. Hash Browns

Do I even need to say more? The Dunkin’ hash browns are almost just as good as the coffee. I get an order of those hash browns almost daily.

10. You have to clean your car on a weekly basis because if you didn't it would probably end up looking something like this.

"Hey can you get my sunglasses out of the glove compartment? Oh sorry, they're buried under those 85 million DD receipts."

At the end of the day you know your DD coffee addiction might be slightly out of control, but you don't care because at least you're happy.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
