If you are in college, and you're a girl, you need to have these essential clothing items on hand.

1. A basic striped shirt.

They are really in right now, plus they go with a lot of things.

2. SWEATPANTS.

These are essential for just about every single day because they are SO COMFY.

3. A thick headband.

Greasy hair? Bam, covered up.

4. Black leggings.

They are comfy and they actually make you look like you are trying.

5. Fuzzy socks.

Warm feet, happy you.

6. Oversized sweater.

You look cute, feel warm, and you can just toss it on and go.

7. Flannel.

Want to seem edgy but also look cute? Flannel!

8. One cute formal dress.

You need at least one dress in case of a spontaneous formal event.

9. Sports bras.

Because real bras are too much work.

10. Infinity scarf.

As basic as it sounds, they are cute AND functional.

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
