Thanksgiving break is here! That means no classes and no stress for a full eight days...so here are some things to be thankful for while enjoying your break.

1. Having your own room

Roomies are great! They are built in besties who see us at our worst times and are around for long venting sessions and junk food, but being able to have a whole room to ourselves (that isn't the size of a shoebox) is a spectacular thing that is often taken for granted. REMEMBER TO BE THANKFUL FOR THIS!!!!!

2. Finally having home-cooked food

Being away from the dining hall and indulging in mom's home-cooking is truly a #blessing.

3. Getting to see familiar faces

Seeing your old friends and catching up on the last three months over coffee and pancakes makes for a super exciting reunion.

4. Not having to share your possessions

Not having to share anything with anyone (clothes, food, answers to homework... the list could go on forever).

5. Being exempt from adulting for a whole week

Cause Momma most likely wants to dote after your every move (and make you a ton of food), so enjoy this one and make sure to be extra thankful!

6. Enjoying the luxury of having a spacious bathroom

Having your own bathtub, toilet, and a place to sing your best rendition of "I Will Always Love You" makes you appreciate the little things in life.

7. Getting to drive your car for the first time in three months

Turns out, it is just like riding a bike... you don't forget how to do it!

8. Taking a mental break from stuDYING

This one speaks for itself...

9. Seeing your dog!!!!!!

Another self-explanatory one... how could you not be thankful to see such a cute little face?

And lastly....

10. Spending time with your parents

After "roughing it" on your own for the last few months, you finally start to appreciate everything your parents had ever done for you! Make sure to really thank God for them this holiday season and to make great memories!

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
