10 Things To Thank My First College Best Friend

1. Thank you for wanting to know me.

I have met a lot of people throughout my 20 years here on earth, some stayed, some left. You saw me and wanted to know me. Three years later, you continuously ask me how my day is going, ask me how I’m feeling, and remember all the little quirks about me. You know more about me than I probably know about myself and I am thankful for that.

Thank you.

2. Thank you for always listening to me.

Three years later and I’m sure you’ve probably heard me repeat myself at least 100 times about the same stuff. No matter what though, you are always there to listen to me. When I’m frustrated, you were there to hear me talk about all the reasons why. When I was sad, you were there to listen to me or just let me cry like a good friend would. You without a doubt never judge anything I ever have to say and just accept it all and listen to me.

Thank you.

3.Thank you for all the adventures.

Whether this was at 2 p.m or 2 a.m, I know I could always count on you to be my bud for going somewhere and doing something crazy. You’re always up for anything, at any time and I’m thankful that I have a great friend like that. The last minute movie runs, the coffee runs, Target runs, or just simply moving your furniture in your dorm. Thank you for all those times.

Thank you.

4. Thank you for all the advice.

You’ve let me rant, on numerous occasions and I know I could always come to you for advice. Before my tests, I know I could always count on you for the “kick ass on that test” or the “best of luck, xoxo”. You don’t know it but you make my days with those simple texts. Without question, you do not sugarcoat anything. You are so blunt, so straight forward, and so honest. You don’t lie to me, but your honesty protects me and any decisions I make. Thank you for being that person I can turn to who I know will be honest and straight up with me. No matter what it is that I’m going though, I know that you’ll be honest with me and tell me something about you that will help me get through whatever it is. Thank you for caring about me.

Thank you

5.Thank you for accepting me.

Without hesitation, one day it all just clicked. Always saying hi to each other as we left our rooms, one day we just simply clicked as friends. There are times that I’ve probably driven you crazy and you think I’m weird but I know that I could do anything and you’ll still accept me. You accept me for who I am, without any question. So, thank you for letting me be who I am.

Thank you.

6. Thank you for always being down to get food.

Without our needed ice cream runs when we’re stressed, the late night pizza orders, or the simple sandwich runs on campus, I don’t know what I would do. I don’t know who else would be down with me, without hesitation, to get food with me.

Thank you.

7. Thank you for all the FaceTime calls and phone calls.

Wherever it is that I’m sitting, laying, or going to, when my phone rings I know for the next how ever long we talk, it will not be anything near the word of dull. You always seem to call or FaceTime me at the right times and always make me laugh. It could be crazy drama, simple words of thought, or just telling me something that I HAVE to know at that moment. I love every time my phone rings and I see your name because I know it is always going to be something interesting.

Thank you.

8. Thank you for singing all the throwbacks with me.

For all the times, at any point during the day, you will be the one who I can just turn the tunes up with and jam. It could be anything from Mr. Brightside to Hannah Montana, you will always be down to belt out the lyrics with me. You know that a song could match my mood, to turn it all the way up, and to sing aloud with me.

Thank you.

9. Thank you for teaching me.

You probably just said to yourself, “how and what did I teach you?”. You have taught me more than you could know. You’ve taught me that the simplest problems that I worry about, I need to worry-less. You’ve taught me that there’s always another day and everything today will be okay eventually. You’ve taught me that stressing won’t lead to anything but more stress.

Thank you.

10. Thank you for being, well simply, you.

There’s no one else I would want to experience my college years with. You’ve given me so many memories, so many laughs and smiles, so many adventures, and I am beyond thankful for that. Thank you for always being supportive, always making me laugh, and always being the caring, wonderful person you are. You being yourself is who I love the most and I'm so thankful you’re not afraid to be that person. Without you, I don’t know how I would get through college everyday.

Here’s to you and our friendship, love you always, thank you.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
