"She's wearing black clothes, I must rub her more than ever" -All cats everywhere.

2. You Skype home just to see your cat.


"Hey mom, hey dad... WHERE'S FANCY?"

3. Those scars are from play time.

"Fancy, why?! Why must you bite the hand that feeds you?"

4. Everyday items become cat themed.


"But Mom, I NEED it! It's a cat-shaped ice cube tray that makes cat-shaped ice cubes!"

5. People call you a cat lady and you don't even care.

"You say that as if it's a bad thing?"

6. Most of your pictures are of your cat.

"Fancy, can you please just stay still for two seconds?!"

7. You have never actually experienced "alone time."

"No, Fancy, NO! Don't you dare, don't even think about it! Stop, no, don- you did it. You jumped on my lap while I'm going to the bathroom... looks like we'll be here for a while..."

8. You clean up after more than just yourself.

"Where did you learn this?! DO YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?!"

9. You never need to purchase an alarm clock.

"Thank you for waking me up two hours before my alarm. That is what I wanted all along."

10. You love your cats basically more than any person.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
