10 Life Lessons As Told By Blair Waldorf

Blair Waldorf is obviously everyone's favorite character in the beloved "Gossip Girl" series, not only because of her larger-than-life attitude and classy style, but also for her sassy and determined outlook on life. No matter what life throws at her, Blair Waldorf doesn't let it get her down — and doesn't let anything down easy. Here are 10 things Blair Waldorf has taught all of us "Gossip Girl" lovers.

1. Blair doesn't stop at anything.

She gets what she wants, and she gets it exactly when she wants it. Her example of constant determination and persistence helps her achieve greatness — even if that's marrying Chuck Bass.

2. Blair doesn't need anyone.

She's strongly independent and has the power to resist Chuck Bass himself. She shows us we don't need a man to be complete, and exemplifies the true meaning of independence. She's confident in herself and aims for personal goals and achievement without the influence of any man. She's content being Blair Waldorf, and realizes that just being herself is enough.

3. Blair is aware of her potential and doesn't settle for less than she deserves.

She lets the men chase her, and not even Chuck Bass himself gets her very quickly. She teaches us that we should set our goals and standards high, and never rest until we earn exactly what we deserve. Blair realizes her worth and doesn't wait around for something that isn't up to par. She teaches us to know the value of ourselves and find someone who meets that standard.

4. Blair realizes that not everyone you meet will like you, no matter how hard you try.

It's simply not worth it to please everyone, so don't bother trying. Although she makes a considerable amount of enemies, Blair evokes power and authority that makes people respect her — and eventually love her for who she is.

5. Blair sticks up for what's rightfully hers.

Her confidence and spunk gets her what she wants, even if there's a few obstacles in the way. Nothing ever gets her down, and she always comes up with a plan to conquer her obstacles. Her unwillingness to settle for second-best teaches us that no obstacle is too large to overcome. She's assertive and determined, which eventually leads her to what she wants. She is never afraid, and teaches us to speak up for ourselves. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Blair is never afraid to speak her mind to get what she wants.

6. Blair teaches us that retail therapy is a real thing.

When things get tough, head to Manhattan and spend your trust fund. After a sticky situation, Blair can be found at Barney's picking out a new cocktail dress, an obvious stress-reliver. There's nothing a little shopping can't cure, because who isn't happy with a brand new pair of heels?

7. Blair tells it like it is.

Even if it is Chuck Bass, she doesn't sugar-coat the truth. She doesn't try to please anyone, and is firm in who she is. She teaches us to tell it like it is, even in the most difficult situations. She's honest with herself, even when she doesn't want to be. She doesn't play games, and doesn't always tell people what they want to hear.

8. Blair doesn't wait for things to happen; she makes them happen, and never stops trying.

She sees the truth in lies, and uses her knowledge to her advantage in order to get what she wants. When she sees an opportunity, she snatches it. She teaches us to make our own dreams come true instead of waiting for our dreams to find us. She knows the value of hard work and determination, and doesn't let anything or anyone stand in the way of her and her dreams.

9. Blair tells anyone who will listen what's on her mind.

She isn't afraid of voicing her opinions and dreams, no matter how ridiculous they may sound. She teaches us to not let our goals intimidate us, and to be loud and proud of what we want. Because if we want it, we get it — or at least Blair Waldorf does.

10. Despite being cunning and deceiving,

Blair is highly intelligent and has an appreciation for learning. Her love of art and literature expands to her great love of fashion, which eventually leads her to produce her own fashion line. She knows what she is passionate about, and always stays true to herself. Blair teaches us to find our passion and do great things with it. She aims to be the creme of the crop, and knows she can get there with determination and hard work. She teaches us to follow our passion, no matter the obstacles and trials that may get in our way.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
