There are some things that are just so unique to growing up in Ohio

1. We're always prepared for any weather

The weather in Ohio changes literally every five minutes

2. Grandpa's Cheesebarn is real and beautiful

All the free cheese samples you could want

3. We're actually really proud of our major cities

The "Three C's" aren't so bad

4. Anywhere south of Columbus is basically the deep South

Just trust us on this one

5. We know our rest stops are really nice

Seriously, if you haven't stopped at an Ohio Turnpike rest stop do it next time you drive through Ohio

When you can go whenever you want, it's not as fun

7. The state tests seem to change every year

OAAs, OGTs, etc. They can never seem to keep the same one

8. We're more than just corn

But we won't deny there is a lot of corn

9. We know we have a "Hell Is Real" billboard

Right there on I-71

10. We wouldn't change being from Ohio

As much as I give it crap, I always cherish that I'm from Ohio

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
