Thanks to Disney's 100th Disney Channel Original Movie Celebration, we've been blessed with the opportunity to watch all of our favorite DCOM's. One of which, for me, is Double Teamed, because not only do I have a twin but we both played high school basketball (for a short amount of time) and we were both involved in fine arts. Sounds just like the movie right? Even if we weren't so weirdly similar to Heidi and Heather Burge, Double Teamed shows many experiences that all twins can relate to.

1. You're involved in the same activities

No matter how hard you try to fight it, twins inevitably become involved in the same things. Whether it's basketball or choir, it's just another opportunity for confusion and comparison.

2. People get you confused, ALL THE TIME

Even Heidi and Heather get confused for each other, it's a common and unavoidable. What can we say, we're used to it!

3. You're always trying to get out of your twin's shadow

You can't be good at everything, and what you aren't good at, your twin is even better. It's hard trying to live up to those types of expectations.

4. You share everything, even your clothes

Because there are two of you, and you probably wear the same size clothes, it is just easier to buy clothes for one person instead of two. This can be good if you want to save money and maximize your wardrobe, but not if you are extra protective over your favorite shirt.

"Is that my shirt?!" Well.. yeah.

5. You talk at the same time

Being so close to someone, you learn to know just what the other person is going to say before they say it, even before you say it. It's so funny watching people freak out after you say the exact same thing, in perfect synchronization.

Yup, that's the look they always give you.

6. Your fights are really awkward

All siblings get into arguments, but twin arguments are on another level. Some people think it's funny, which just makes you more mad, but it is always awkward when you get into an argument or fight in public. Just makes sure you don't do anything stupid.

7. You have your own "thing"

Sure, other siblings can be very close, but twins are the closest you can get! What better way to recognize the importance of your relationship than with something special, like a handshake or weird, Burge pointing thing. It's just another thing that sets you apart from everyone else.

8. You purposely confuse people

While confusing people can be annoying if it's not on purpose, intentionally confusing people can be very funny and useful. Especially in a basketball game. You're welcome for that win, Sea Kings!

*cue evil planning*

9. You have the same friends

Considering you are involved in some of the same activities, and are around each other all the time, it's safe to assume that you probably share friends. If they love you, why wouldn't they love your twin?!

10. You always have each other's backs

A relationship so close comes with huge responsibility and love. Not only do you want to support your twin, it's your job, on and off the court.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
