10 Things All Pet Owners Know To Be True

Life with pets can be a complicated yet wonderful thing

10 Things All Pet Owners Know To Be True

Anyone who owns at least one pet knows these ten things to be true.

1. Hair is found everywhere

2. Wondering where all the fur could possibly come from

You question where all this fur comes from and how they are not yet bald. It feels as though you brush them non-stop yet there is a never ending amount of fur that comes out. You could make an entire new family of pets with the amount of fur you brush out of them or find around your house.

3. Outrageous vet bills

Not only does your animal hate being taken to the vet, but you most likely are not thrilled about the amount in which you will have to pay. Something that seems so simple will cost way more than necessary, but you will pay for it anyway because you love your pet. We take better care of them than we do our self.

4. Talking to them as if they understand every word

Whether we are asking them if they “want to go for a ride”, or “want a treat” or just talking to them about our daily struggles, our pets are always there to listen. We insist that they know exactly what we are saying and sympathize with our problems.

5. Having no personal space

From laying in a pile of clean clothes you are trying to fold, or laying on the keyboard of your laptop when trying to do homework, or walking around your feet when trying to go to the bathroom, your pets are always around. They don’t understand the meaning of personal space or understand that the world is not their playground.

6. Having an insane amount of pictures of them on your phone

If anyone has ever looked at your camera roll and seen what looks like hundreds of pictures of your cat, dog, rabbit, etc. than you know how crazy they think you are. But really, you just feel as though everything they do is cute and you must capture every moment. Okay, so, you may be obsessed, but that’s okay.

7. Smothering them with your love as they try to escape

Squeezing your pet in a tight hug before you go back to school or before leaving for a trip while they try to wiggle out of your grasp is a defining moment in your relationship with your pet. Yes, they love you more than they love themselves, but only when they are in the mood for it.

8. Insisting that your pets are the cutest to ever live

There is NO way that someone else’s animal is cuter than yours. I mean, does your dog have cute floppy ears and big brown eyes? Not like mine! Do your cats snuggle up together? No way!

9. They act as if they are humans

Some animals insist on sitting on the sofa, or sitting right next to you as you drive, while others insist on being the center of attention when playing games or hanging out with friends. They assume they can do all that you can, including eating human food.

10. Having a companion like no other

Despite the fact that they may be hard work or never leave you alone, pets care about you more than you know and want nothing but your love an attention…and maybe food. They stick with you through all your adventures, hardships, and happy times, ultimately being one of your best friends.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
