10 Things That Thanksgiving Break Signifies

It is already halfway through November signifying that Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and for a college student that means more than just turkey.

1. Thanksgiving means HOME

2. If Thanksgiving means home then home means MOM.

3. Home=Mom=FOOD

4. And then there's also Thanksgiving dinner itself

5. And then if home for you means going back to a state that actually has winter in comparison to your schools state that considers winter 80 degrees outside (ahem Texas)

6. Being home also means getting to catch up on every TV show you've missed out on this semester

7. Being home also gives you the chance to recharge before you have to power through your last three weeks of school

8. Thanksgiving break also means that your semester is almost over (whether that is a good thing or a bad thing)

9. And sadly it also means that finals are coming

10. But the best thing to come from Thanksgiving break is that it is OFFICIALLY acceptable to listen to Christmas music!!!

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?
