With Thanksgiving just behind us, the family and fun all gone, and I had time to ponder about the true meaning of giving thanks. Giving thanks is more than just saying “I’m thankful for insert something/someone.” It shows more in your actions than your words. A perfect example of that is Jesus. Here are 10 (out of the many) Bible verses for Thanksgiving:
1) 2 Corinthians 4:15:
All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
2) Jeremiah 30:19:

6) 1 Timothy 4:45:

7) 1 Chronicles 16:34:

8) Psalm 7:17:

9) Isaiah 12:4:

10) 1 Thessalonians 5:18:

Even though Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is just around the corner, you can still give thanks. Giving thanks isn’t seasonal, it should be done all year around. Even though not many people give thanks during the year, unless its a holiday, you can make a difference and set an example of the importance of giving thanks everyday. It is important to thank God and let Him know how grateful you are for everything he has given you. Show God how much you love Him. Praise Him by thanking him for what he has and will give you.
