10 Summer Must-Do's As Told By Spongebob

For most people, summer is a time to escape reality. However, those of us that lead busy lives tend to become overwhelmed at this time. How? We're not used to having this much free time so we have no idea what to do with it. Times that the weather is hot and sunny are the perfect days to be doing activities rather than staying in watching Netflix all day. Unsure of what to do? Listen to some advice from Spongebob Squarepants and get your summer started!

1. Try something new

It can be anything. Whether it's a new food to a new activity, there's always something to try.

2. Visit an amusement park

Amusement parks provide entertainment for every age! Head to your nearest amusement park for a thrilling day with friends that will leave you exhausted and ready for bed.

3. Road trip

If you're anything like me, you love exploring new places. And summer is the perfect time to do so!

4. Enjoy nature

This goes along with trying something new. But honestly, this Earth is beautiful. We should all take a moment to "slow down and smell the roses" every once in awhile. Use this summer as an opportunity to go for a hike or enjoy a local park.

5. Go outside of your comfort zone

This is different for everyone, but it can range from doing something daring to simply talking to someone new. A good example of this is that summer is the perfect time to try out a new hair cut/color. If you do it early enough, you have time to fix it without dreading going to school the next morning,

6. Have a 'treat yo self' day

We should all take a little bit of time for ourselves. Personally, I would suggest going shopping or taking a trip to the nail salon. However, if you're more of a lay-on-the-beach-and-read kind of person, take a trip down to the shore and set up for a day of relaxation all by yourself.

7. Go to a concert

Why not?

8. Spend quality time with loved ones

Let's be honest, between school, work and a social life when do any of us have time to really spend time lounging around with the family? Use summer to soak up the sun with your loved one's by your side.

9. Relax on the beach

Whether you prefer cooling down in the water or just lounging in the sun, the beach can be a place to escape reality and just enjoy some free time.

10. Sleep in

Need I say more?

Sure, it's the nearing the end of the summer but it's not over yet. If you've spent the past few months lounging around in you jammies while watching movies all day (nothing wrong with that!) then it's time you start to enjoy the nice weather and the freedom of summer. If this list isn't for you, use it as a base to start engaging in the summer you had planned back in those brutal summer months.

Remember, YOU DESERVE THIS BREAK.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
