Back to school, back to school, to prove to dad that I'm not a fool...

Moving back to school after a long summer off can definitely be challenging, especially for those moving back onto campus. You are used to living back home in a house with your family and now you're headed back to campus life. Some college kids love the on-campus experience, others hate it. Here's 10 struggles of moving back to campus:

1. Campus Food

The food may be convenient, but it is definitely not good or good for you.

2. Mom isn't here

Who is supposed to buy your groceries, make your appointments, and do you laundry?

3. Homework

Endless amounts of homework are given to you weekly and you'll pull all nighters just to get it done.

4. No pets

Dorms don't allow you to bring your furry friend along, no matter how bad you want to.

5. Mornings

Waking up for class does not sound appealing.

6. Learning how to write again

You go the whole summer without taking notes and it feels as though you have forgotten how to write completely.

7. Living with another person

Even if you really like your roommate, living in a tiny room with another person can be difficult.

8. Shower shoes

Do I really need to explain? Wearing shoes in the shower is so wrong.

9. Sleeping in a Twin XL

Your bed back home is most definitely softer and bigger.

10. You have to "adult"

You are on your own for everything once you move back to school.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
