It's both a blessing and a curse to having an average name with a not-so-average spelling. While it makes you stand out, it does come with some disadvantages. Here's a list of struggles that we can all relate to.

1. When you go on vacation you don’t even bother to look for a keychain with your name on it

2. The barista never gets it right.

3. Neither do your teachers.

I've been in class all year, how do you not know how to spell my name?

4. When there's someone else with your name, you get introduced with the way you spell it.

"This is Ashlee, with two E's"

"Or just Ashlee works..."

5. You automatically have a bond with someone shares your same spelling.

And you freak out when you first hear it.

6. People try to relate and say, “Oh, my best friends cousins sister spells it like that.”

Yes, it is possible for there to be more than one person with the same way to spell a name.

7. Autocorrect hates you.

According to autocorrect, you always spell your name wrong.

8. And this is how you feel if you managed to find your name on something.

9. You love Coca Cola's "Share a Coke" campaign because you probably could find your name on the bottles.

10. Even though it can be a little annoying, you know you love having a name that sets you apart from the rest.

I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
