Every girl who has a passion for makeup knows it can put you in the front seat of the struggle bus some days. Sometimes more than we would like to admit. Is makeup really worth all the pain it can give us sometimes? Well I say "Heck yes it is!" My favorite part of my day is putting on my makeup and I naturally gravitate towards the makeup section in every department store. So this is for all of you who know the struggle just as much as I do.

1. When you get mascara clumps in your hair.

Because your hair fell in your face while your where applying mascara and left a black streak across your face when you moved it.

2. You sat down and realized you forgot to wet your beauty blender.

Just no.

3. When your drug store foundation oxidizes.

Who even let that be a thing?

4. When your wings are uneven.

Or one eye is just better than the other.

5. That new product you just had to have was released and now all you can afford to eat for the next month is ramen noodles.

Bank account 100-0 real quick.

6. When people are always commenting on how much makeup you wear.

Honestly I'm fabulous.

7. You instantly and silently critique every single person's makeup that you meet.

And if you meet someone who you can't think of a critique for ya'll will probably be BFF's.

8. Paying high dollar for a makeup pallet and the pigment just isn't there.

A moment of silence for all who have suffered.

9. For the first time in a month you put on foundation first and your eyeshadow falls out all over it.

You wipe it away but it just smears and you might as well start over.

10. But no matter what struggle you face, it doesn't matter because makeup is the peanut butter to your jelly.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
