Anyone who knows me well knows that shopping is one of my favorite activities. Don't get me wrong, I'm a broke college kid just like you... but I work hard for my money while being a full-time student, so I really don't see anything wrong with me spending my money on things that I want. Plus, I can also be found window shopping in between paychecks.

So basically shopping is actually my cardio! With that being said, there are definitely a lot of stores that can make or break a mall. Continue reading to find out more about what stores I love to find in the mall!

1. Free People

Okay, so obviously on a part-time salary shopping budget Free People is definitely considered luxurious... but I just love their clothes so much, and their store is always perfectly arranged!

2. H&M

H&M has super cute clothes at a somewhat reasonable budget! You can always find something to wear to work or even on the weekends here!

3. Bath and Body Works

This is my absolute favorite non-clothing store simply because I am obsessed with candles and currently have 20+ hidden in my closet!

4. Nike

I'm obsessed with Nike shoes and love having a stash of them in the closet!

5. Athleta

This is another luxurious store for me, but for someone who is obsessed with leggings as I am, this store is an absolute must-have!

6. Barnes and Noble

Obviously another non-clothing store, but the combination of amazing books and Starbucks makes anyone's shopping experience better! Plus, I recently Bought Khloe Kardashians book and I absolutely LOVE it!

7. Altar'd State

This store reminds me of a slightly more affordable Free People, which is obviously why I love it! They have the cutest clothes, jewelry, and some of the best smelling candles! Although their clothes are still a little bit more expensive than I'd ideally like to pay for, it's still a great store!

8. Forever 21

This has been one of my favorite places to shop since I was in high school, and they've definitely kept me coming back for years.

9. Loft

Since I am approaching graduation, I've slowly begun acquiring a collection of professional wear, and Loft is my favorite place to go for it! Plus, they also have a lounge collection which is super cozy.

10. Nordstrom Rack

Okay, so it isn't super common to find a Nordstrom Rack inside of a mall or even attached, but I have been in one and it's a great place to shop! Plus, you can even find discounted Free People items there!

So, on a scale of 1-10 where does your mall rank?

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
