10 Steps To Get The Perfect Beach Bod

Swimsuit season is finally here, and it's not the Victoria's Secret sensation advertising portrays it to be. Females all around the world feel self-conscious in their swimwear, often because they will be seen in public and potentially body shamed. But, there is no need to fear, because this article will show you just how awesome your body is and to be proud of what yo' mama gave you! So, here is how you get the perfect beach bod.

Step 1: You can't because no body is perfect. Embrace the one you have!

I know it is hard for a lot of us to embrace our bodies, but it's the only one you will ever have -- might as well learn to love it!

Step 2: Don't try to hide your body from the world.

Let that baby get some sun! I guarantee you that almost everyone at the beach is not looking at you and is also self-conscious about their body in some form or fashion as well. So, forget your doubts and just have fun.

Step 3: Work with what you got.

If you got a big booty, wear a bootylicious swim bottom. Top heavy? Hit that cute under wire bikini top you've had your eyes on forever! Accentuate your favorite part of your body! Treat yo self to a super cute swimsuit that you feel like Beyonce in

Step 4: Don't be afraid to tan.

Your body deserves to tan just as much as the Victoria's Secret supermodel doing a photo shoot 50 feet away from you. Don't be intimidated or afraid! Just embrace that glorious sun and the newly sun-touched skin you're soon to have.

Step 5: Take care of your body!

Make sure to apply plenty coats of sunscreen every few hours and wear those sunnies! Don't want your hot bod getting too burnt or damaging your eyes.

Step 6: Don't feel the need to suck it in 24/7.

You'll only be hurting yourself in the end with embarrassing scenarios like the one above. The beach is a time to let go and relax, so don't take away from your zen by constantly holding your stomach back from the world.

Step 7: Take lots of selfies at the beach.

Take lots of pictures! Document your wonderful beach time with the people you love. Throw on your best outfit, favorite lipstick, and take hella selfies, because you are one hot mama whether you believe this article or not!

Step 8: Don't try to diet the week before.

Some think the perfect beach bod is being tan, thin, and looking like a Kardashian. In reality, everyone's perfect beach bod image differs. If getting fit is a main concern before you go to the beach, do not try changing that the week before! Your body takes a good while for you to notice any major changes. It also takes a lot of hard work and determination. But, regardless, enjoy yourself on the beach. Don't hold back on that delish seafood. You can work it off when you get back home because vacation is all about treating yo' self!

Step 9: Don't let your insecurities control you.

By all means, try new things! Don't ever let your insecurities keep you from doing what you want. If you can accept your body and have a great mindset, you can do anything!

Step 10: Don't let others' looks get you down.

Do not look at others and get discouraged when you see their stomach, thighs, etc. and compare them to yours. All bodies are different. You may envy someone's thighs, but they could envy your chest. You never know. Everyone has insecurities about their bodies, so don't let your self-doubt get ya' down, love. You're beautiful.

May your beach trip be filled with self-love my friends. Have a great time and forget about any body standards.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
