10 Steps To Get The Girl

1. Ask her out on a date.

Don't ask her to go to your apartment or ask to go to hers. Take her to a nice restaurant and look presentable. This shows her that you are just as invested as she is.

2. Pick her up at her house.

Nothing is worse than having her get all ready and then asking her to meet you somewhere. One, it makes it extremely awkward standing outside the restaurant by yourself waiting for the other person. And two, if you wanted to go do anything after dinner two cars is a hassle.

3. Bring her flowers.

Seriously. Get. Flowers. Even one is a nice gesture-- you can buy them for less than $2 at any grocery store.

4. Make a reservation.

Nothing beats walking into a restaurant and getting seated right away. It shows you care by taking the time to plan ahead and put your name down for two.

5. Open the door for her.

At the car. At the restaurant. Anywhere you go, open the door for her. Be a gentleman and hold the door open for her.

6. Pull the chair out for her when she goes to sit.

It’s the smallest things that impress a girl. The things you do or don't do she will pick up on and trust me, they won't go unnoticed.

7. Talk to her and listen to what she's saying.

You asked her out so don't freeze up now and make it the longest dinner there ever was. Ask her questions and actually listen to her response.

8. ALWAYS pay for her.

Ask for the check and say together. Don't let the waiter ask and make it uncomfortable for both of you. Just politely ask for the check and say you'll get it.

9. Walk her to her door.

Always get out of the car and make sure she gets inside alright. Make sure to thank her for coming out with you and tell her you'll talk to her soon.

10. Actually contact her.

Don’t be dumb and wait several days because you think you're cool. No, call her the next day and chances are you got the girl.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
