Seniors, graduation is in the air. In no time at all we will be real adults, with more responsibilities, ready to take on the world and our lives ahead of us. Even though it's extremely exciting to be finishing school, it's also very nerve-wrecking and terrifying. It's a whirlwind of emotions essentially, and here are some of the stages every senior goes through as graduation quickly approaches.
1. School is basically over.
No more papers, no more exams, no more all night cramming, no more forcing myself out of bed in the morning and no more using coffee as an IV.
2. Wait, I'm gonna be a real adult.
I don't think I'm ready for this. I don't know how to do taxes.
3. Being an adult could be cool though.
I can decorate my own place, and get as many pets as I want it'll be awesome.
4. Student loans will be coming.
Goodbye money.
5. I should probably apply for a job.
I know I need to, but it's slightly terrifying because what if no one wants me.
6. I still need to study for my exams though.
I would say that studying for my last college exams is bittersweet, but it's actually just sweet.
7. I'm gonna be an alum – OMG
That just makes me sound and feel so old; I don't like it.
8. Can I still use my student ID to get discounts?
I'm sure no one will notice.
9. I'm gonna miss this school.
Even though the food isn't great, parking sucks, and the dorms aren't super glamorous I've made great memories, and this place has been a part of my life for what feels like so long.
10. These years have been awesome.
No matter how scary, exciting, crazy and amazing these last few weeks are one thing is for sure; college has been an indescribable experience, and I'm so proud of myself and my fellow classmates. Congrats Class of 2016.
