Paddles are an important part of sorority life. When a member becomes a mentor to a new member, they are given a paddle to represent their 'Big/Little' relationship. Paddles can also be given between members to mark special occasions; birthday, graduation, etc. Over the years paddles have become unique and creative expressions of sisterhood, encompassing a range of themes and designs. The advent of Pinterest gave us one place to find all of these paddles and be inspired.

I know I have a birthday paddle to make for a certain Little's 21st birthday in a few months!

Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
